Running a business comes with more than just serving customers and getting the work done. Behind the scenes, there are expenses to track, payments to manage, and financial decisions to make.

Whether you're in landscaping, construction, freight, or the service industry, your bookkeeping should reflect how your business actually operates. That's why I take the time to understand your business, the challenges you face, and what you need from your bookkeeping.

Every industry has its own moving parts.

Hauling & Freight

Hotshot runs, box trucks, owner-operators, and small fleets. Your books don't look like anyone else's: settlements instead of invoices, a factoring company paying you instead of your customer, fuel and mileage across state lines, and a truck note that has to be handled right at tax time. I keep the receivables straight, track what's deductible, and make sure your quarterly picture is accurate before your CPA ever sees it.

Landscaping

Lawn maintenance, irrigation, tree work, hardscape, and full design-build. I've worked inside this business, not just read about it. That means I plan around the slow stretch between fall cleanup and spring, keep deposits separated from earned revenue, sort out crew payroll versus 1099 help, and track equipment the right way so a new mower or trailer works in your favor at tax time.

Construction

Roofing, concrete, remodeling, electrical, plumbing, and the subs who work alongside them. I handle job costing so you know which jobs actually made money, track retainage and draws so nothing falls off the schedule, and keep your subcontractor 1099s clean all year instead of scrambling in January. I also know the difference between how a new build and a remodel get treated — and I'll flag it before it becomes a problem.

Shops & Service Businesses

Salons, barbershops, food trucks, cleaning companies, laundromats, tire and auto shops. Daily sales, card batches, tips, booth rent, and a POS that never quite matches the bank. I reconcile all of it, separate your money from the business's money, and hand you a monthly report you can actually read.

Don't see your industry?

Mobile mechanics, daycares, taquerias, pool service, pressure washing, event rentals — if you're owner-operated in Harris or Montgomery County, the work is the same work. What changes is vocabulary, and I learn that fast.
